God desires that we become godly, and as the scripture says God has given us everything that pertain unto life and godliness, but pornography causes there to be a filth on a person’s life, pornography pollutes your spirit, causing the spirit of God to depart from you, because the bible clearly says that God is a holy God and He cannot behold iniquity(2 Peter 1:13)(Habakkuk 1:13)
Asides this, God’s instruction to us is to be holy just as He is holy, so pornography not only robs you of the presence of the holy spirit, it also deprives you from accessing the blessings God has in store for you, and until you deal with pornography, you may never have the confidence to approach the throne of grace where you can obtain mercy (1 Peter 1:15-17)
An important point you need to note is that, when you indulge in pornography, you are no longer the one in charge of your life, you have deliberately handed over the wheel of your destiny into the hands of the devil (Revelation 12:9), and remember the bible says the thief comes not but to steal to kill and to destroy (John 10:10)
The main purpose of the enemy is first to steal the divine blessings God has in plan for you (Jeremiah 29:11), then to destroy your destiny totally such that you won’t be able to fulfil destiny anymore on earth and eventually his last goal is to end your life, yes! To end your existence.
In order not to allow this happen, you need to confess your sins before God, and then make up your mind to resist the devil each time he brings the thought of pornography your way (Proverbs 28:13 James 4:7), lastly you need to pray fervently that the Lord will take away the urge for pornography off your life.
Finally, when you are bored and are tempted to go back to pornography, here’s the solution: study and confess the Word of God, then pray regularly (Psalm 119:11)
Remember the bible instructs us to guard our heart with due diligence, so you must deliberately choose to meditate on the Word of God, and as you do so, your healing shall come speedily in Jesus mighty name (Proverbs 4:23)
