The summary of 1 Kings 16 is all about what King Solomon himself wrote in Ecclesiastes chapter 12verse 13, “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.”
God is not a respecter of any person. He has given His commandments for every man to live by them. Anyone who violates His rules always faces the consequences!
In Exodus chapter 20 verse 3, God says, “THOU SHALT HAVE NO OTHER gods BEFORE ME.”
He went on emphasizing it in verses 4-5. In Verse 5b, He said, “For I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me.”
So, let everybody know that when you go to seek help from native doctors, you are having an idol. Anything you allow to take the place of God in your life giving it more attention than God and taking the first place of your life is an idol. God does not take it kindly with anybody who does that! When you get yourself involved in idol worship, it means that you hate God. Therefore, both you and your children unborn will be punished!
Among all of them who reigned in Israel either by killing and taking over the throne or by inheritance, it is only king Asa who did what pleased God that died and and was buried honorably with his fathers after ruling over Judah for many years.
His son Jehoshaphat took over from him.
People of God, may we leave good inheritance for our children’s children and their generations in Jesus Christ’s Mighty Name! Amen!
May we pass on the baton of holiness and righteousness to our generations in Jesus Christ’s Mighty Name! Amen!
