Today, we study the Book of Esther 9 where the Jews “destroyed their tormentors” and then celebrated the Feast of PURIM.
The Pertinent Principle for us today is The Deliverance of The Lord.

Reflection One
“Overpowering the Haters”
On the day the that the Enemies of the Jews had hoped to overpower them, THE OPPOSITE OCCURED!
The Jews themselves overpowered those who hated them.
(Esther 9:1)
Brethren, we serve a God Who is able to save.
Psalms 37 verse 12 & 13, recorded that “The wicked plots against the just, And gashes at him with his teeth. The Lord laughs at him, FOR HE sees that his day is coming”
As the Jews survived the plot of Haman and destroyed their tormentors, we have the confidence that the Wicked will never triumph over us.
Psalms 2: 1-4 wonders WHY THE HEATHEN ALWAYS RAGE?
The Conclusion is:
“He that sits in the heavens shall laugh”
In the days of trouble, our testimony shall always be : “Now thanks be to God who always leads us in TRIUMPH IN CHRIST, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.(2 Cor 2:14)
Finally, the Deliverance of these Jews resulted in:
1. Amazing Testimonies
2. Name of The Lord glorified
3. The Fear of The Lord among the Enemies.
We have The Victory!

Reflection Two
“His Own Special People”
According to Deuteronomy 7 verse 6, The Lord reaffirmed that the Jews are “A holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a SPECIAL TREASURE ABOVE ALL THE PEOPLES ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH.”
God’s Covenant with Father Abraham in Genesis 22:18 is still operational to the Jews world wide – HIS OWN SPECIAL PEOPLE because the Messiah came through them.
It is therefore expected that the Lord delivers the Jews supernaturally through history!
Similarly, believers in Christ enjoy certain privileges and responsibilities!
According to 1 Peter 2 verse 9, the Bible affirms that “You are a chosen people, Royal priesthood, a holy nation, HIS OWN SPECIAL PEOPLE, that you may proclaim the Praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His MARVELOUS LIGHT”
As sure as Dawn, The Lord keeps Covenant!
However on the part of Man, HOLINESS is important to sustain our relationship with the Almighty God.
As we claim Abraham’s BLESSINGS in this Dispensation of Grace, we MUST remember that GOD “HAS CALLED US TO LIVE HOLY LIVES, NOT IMPURE LIVES”
