Thoughts on Job 13
“Even the CAPTIVES of the mighty shall be taken away, And the prey of the terrible shall be delivered……” Isaiah 49:25-27
Today, we study the book of Job 13 where Job attempted a “DEFENCE”
The Pertinent Principle for us today is : “Divine Vindication”
Theme:
“GOD WORKING ALL THINGS TOGETHER FOR OUR GOOD”
Key Scripture
Job 13:16
“He also shall be my salvation, For a hypocrite could not come before Him”
Scriptures
Job 13:15
Job 13:16
Romans 8:28
Mark 7:37
Acts 4:12
Isaiah 49:25-27
Job 19:25
Psalms 59:1-5
Reflection One
“He has done All things Well”
The declaration of Job 13:15 is “THOUGH HE SLAY ME YET WILL I TRUST HIM”
This declaration
even in the face of Death is UNCOMMON yet COMMENDABLE.
Acknowledging the OMNIPOTENCE & OMNISCIENCE Capabilities of Almighty God inspires our TRUST in Him.
The Bible Testified that Our God is INTENTIONAL who is able to “WORK ALL THINGS TOGETHER FOR OUR GOOD
(Romans 8:28)
Indeed, Apostle Mark declared that “HE HAS DONE ALL THINGS WELL” (Mark 7:37)
What a Mighty God we serve!
Brethren, as we face various situations and circumstances, let us remember like Job that GOD IS IN CONTROL and He Knows the End From The Beginning.
Indeed He does ALL things Well!
Reflection Two
Who can save & deliver?
Job declared that “The Lord also shall be my Salvation” (Job 13:16)
Do You Need Salvation/ Deliverance?
You May Ask : FROM WHAT?
1. Salvation from SIN?
2. Salvation from SATAN?
3. Salvation from Troubles?
4. Deliverance from Oppressors?
5. Deliverance from Death?
The Bible affirms that “Nor is there SALVATION in any other, for there is NO OTHER NAME under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)
Isaiah 49:25-27 also summed up the DELIVERANCE of the Lord profoundly:
“Even the CAPTIVES of the mighty shall be taken away, And the prey of the terrible shall be delivered……”
“That I, the Lord, am your Saviour, And your REDEEMER, the Mighty One of Jacob.
Father, we thank you for being our Lord, our Saviour & Redeemer.
Indeed we can boldly say like Job : “I know my Redeemer’s lives”
Lord Jesus, we accept that You are able to save to the Fullest. Hallelujah
Prayers:
1. Father, we trust and pray that You work All things together for our GOOD. We pray for the strength to wait on you. Amen.
(Romans 8:28)
2. Deliver us from Enemies and from workers of Iniquity O Lord. Amen.
( Psalms 59:1-2)
