Today, we study the Book of Jeremiah Chapter 42, where the remnants of God’s people were forbidden from fleeing to Egypt according to divine directions through the DECLARATIONS of Jeremiah, the prophet.

Whether it is pleasing or displeasing, we will obey the voice of the Lord our God to whom we send you, that it may be well with us when we obey the voice of the Lord our God” (Jer. 42:6)
Brethren, we serve the Almighty God Who is Omnipotent, Omnipresent, and Omniscient – The All Knowing God!
In the mercy of God, He guides His people in various ways for the following reasons:
Clarity of Divine Plans & expected end.

Draw us unto Him in Fellowship.
Reduce our errors
Protection from danger – Baby Jesus was taken to Egypt for safety!

LESSONS
1. God still guides His people.
2. It is expedient to inquire of the Lord before our actions.
3. The ministry of the prophets is still very relevant.
4. God does not condone hypocrisy and disobedience.
(Jeremiah 42:20)
5. God continues to lead us through His word, His Spirit, and through Counselors/ Teachers. (Ps.32:8)
PRAYERS
1. Father, we wait on you to hear Your Voice leading us the way to go. (Isaiah 30:21)
2. Father, if your presence does not go with us, do not send us.
