The opposite of DILIGENCE is INDOLENCE !
Brethren, understanding the Dangers of Indolence, is appreciating the values of DILIGENCE.
The Bible recommends DILIGENCE as recorded in Proverbs 22:29 that “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings;He shall not stand before mean men.”
Diligence brings:
1. RESULTS
2. PROSPERITY
3. FFULFILMENT
4. HONOUR/RECOGNITION
The Dangers of Indolence are:
1. Poverty
“Love Not Sleep, lest you come to POVERTY”
(Proverbs 20:1
2. LOSSES/DETERIORATION
(Ecclesiastes 10:18)
“Through SLOTH, the roof sinks in, and through INDOLENCE, the house leaks”
3. Medical Conditions/ Sicknesses
Indolence leads to some medical conditions
(Proverbs 26:15)
4. Lack Of Fulfillment
The soul of the lazy man desires and has nothing.
(Proverbs 13:4)
5. Disservice To The Lord
The Lord expects our service by NOT BEING SLOTHFUL IN BUSINESS, YET FERVENT IN SPIRIT!

Conclusion
The hand of the DILIGENT will rule while the SLOTHFUL be under tribute!
