Today, we study the Book of Psalms 149 titled: “Praise to God for His Salvation and Judgment”

REFLECTION
“THE TWO EDGED SWORD”
The Sword of the Spirit in the Bible described in Psalms 149 verse 6 is THE WORD OF GOD, as confirmed by Ephesians 6:17.
This is corroborated in Hebrews 4:12 : “the word of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword”
WHY DOUBLE-EDGED?
According to the Invention of Rome, the Two Edged sword is superior to the one-edged specifically in the following ways:
1. More cutting options
2. More Damage
3. Back up Blade if a side is blunt or damaged.
The Sword is therefore an OFFENSIVE & DEFENSIVE WEAPON
Spiritually, the two-edged Sword is God’s Word PROCLAIMED in the Mouth of the Believer.
POWER IN THE WORD
Brethren, The Word/ Sword is a POTENT WEAPON – One of the PIECES OF SPIRITUAL ARMOUR given to the Believer to “stand our ground against EVIL
(Ephesians 6:13)
There is a WORD for every situation:
Healing: Isaiah 53:5
Protection: Ps. 118:17
Provision: Ps. 37:25
Spiritual Attacks:Ps 89:22
