REFLECTIONS ON PSALMS 48
Today, we study the Book of Psalms Chapter Forty Eight-One of the Psalms of the sons of Korah, where the GREATNESS of our GOD is once again extolled.

REFLECTION ONE
“Jehovah is Great”
Indeed, “Great is The Lord” (Psalms 48:1)
The Psalmist celebrated the GREATNESS & Holiness of God.
THE GREATNESS OF GOD
Evidence of the Greatness is corroborated by
Psalms 146:6 -7.
that “God is the CREATOR of heaven and earth”
We also acknowledge
-His absolute rule over all things.
-His endless Resources
-His Unimaginable Power
&
-His Sovereignty
What a Mighty God we serve! (Psalms 150:2)
He is worthy of worship.
We will worship Him Always!
REFLECTION TWO
“OUR GOD – OUR GUIDE”
WE BELONG!
What a Privilege to be possessive about Almighty God – HE IS OUR GOD!
We can boast and declare that “For us, there is ONE GOD,THE FATHER, of whom are all things, and we for HIM; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live”
(1 Corinthians 8:6)
In addition to Jehovah being our GOD, He is also our GUIDE – Our Faithful, Constant Guide.(Psalms 48:14)
HOW HE GUIDES US
1. By the counsels of His word
(Psalms 119:105)
“The Word as a lamp to our feet & light on our path”
2. By the influences of His Spirit. (Jn 16:13)
“When The Spirit of Truth shall com, he will GUIDE you”
3. By strength in time of trials.
(James 1:12)
“Blessed is the man who endures temptation”
4. Through Divine Direction (Is 30:21)
“And thine ears shall hear a voice behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left”
FOREVER!
Psalms 48:14 implies that God’s Guidance and Mercies are even unto death and beyond this life!
The Bible categorically declares that “His Mercy/love endures FOREVER (Psalms 136)
Thank you Lord for “In your LIGHT we the light”
(Psalms 36:9)
Do Not Forget
“He is able to save FOREVER (completely, perfectly, for eternity) those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to intercede and intervene on their behalf (with God)
(Hebrews 7:25)
