Scripture: Hebrews 11:1-6
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.
3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
In Luke Chapter 18, what you have there is a parable that Jesus told about a judge who was nasty, he doesn’t fear God and has no honor for men but a woman needed his favor and he had to be the one to do it, then in verse 8 the bible said: “I tell you that he will avenge them speedily never the less, when the son of man comes, will he find faith on earth? Some translations, the king James Version says: When the son of man comes, will he find faith in the world?
I have wondered why Jesus mentioned this, after teaching that men should always pray and not to faint, I assume, that because sometimes when we pray, answers do not come quickly, if you have been a Christian for a while, you know this first hand, healing answers do not come quickly sometimes, the answer for breakthrough does not come quickly sometimes, the answer for babies do not come quickly sometimes, the answer to build a house does not come quickly sometimes, the answer for visa does not come quickly sometimes, the answer that you should be the one that will get that contract amongst them all, does not come quickly sometimes, the answer that God should bring a lovely husband, a lovely wife who is respectful does not come quickly sometimes.
But Jesus says: whether prayer comes quickly or not, I still want to see faith in you.
So he taught prayer, at the end of that teaching, he said, when the son of man comes back will he find faith in the world, so it means at the time hat Jesus will come, one of the scarce means on earth will be faith.
Faith is a heavenly currency given to spend on earth, if you don’t have that currency, no one will transaction with you in the spirit realm and God is saying that people are going to be so faith lacking and so he asked that when the son of man comes, how many people will still have faith?
So I want you to know that if you still have faith, you do not have a common thing, it’s a scarce means and that is why you must hold it, treasure it, and keep building it on.
The bible says the just shall live by faith, so if you take away faith, we die, we could still be breathing but we’re dead, can that happen to a person? Yes.
The bible says to be carnally minded is death
And the bible also talks about a church in Revelation, it says you have a name that you are alive but you are dead, though they were breathing to read the letter but they were dead, before that death happened to them, faith had taken the door first because the just cannot live any other way but by faith.
You hear these things that you hear on the internet, read news in papers, and it shakes your heart, sometimes you don’t even know what to believe anymore; your faith is losing grip, you are becoming faith spent and deprived, and Jesus says that’s not good for you, because if you lose your faith, you will lose your spiritual life.
