Daniel 11:32bKJV “… but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.”
Isaiah 42:9KJV “Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I now declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them”.
God has been faithful in our lives, from the beginning of this year, the Word of God has come to us in diverse ways from our Father in the Lord Rev. PJA Olaiya to the district pastor, Pst. Dr. Tunde Ode, God has not left us desolate, he keeps sending his word.
As Scripture says: “Forever oh Lord, your Word is settled”
That is why I’m encouraged this day come what may, the Lord that has said it, will bring His Word to come to pass in your life in Jesus mighty name.
I will start with Psalm 119, and I will take a few verses.
This is our month of new things, Isaiah 43:9 says Behold the former things are come to pass and new things do I declare.
God is saying, now new things do I declare, so on the strength of His Word that He spoke, and it came to pass, saying I am declaring a new thing, He said before they spring forth, I tell you of them, before it is done before it begins to manifest, I make you aware of them, I notify you.
I want us to know that God does not speak anyhow, one thing we know about God is that He is not a man, it is men that say something today and tomorrow you can’t rely on their word: when circumstances change, their word may actually change. But God is mindful of all He says, He doesn’t speak anyhow, God is drawing our attention to what he wants to tell us about what is going to happen,
So what is our posture to this Word, what is our body language saying? if God has said it, what are we also saying? There is the voice of the heart and the mouth, but the bible says out of the abundance of our heart, our mouth will speak.
So does your heart agree with your mouth? To declare or to say those things that God has said as I said, God is not a personality that speaks anyhow and if He is speaking, He is doing so because you have a role to play in those new things that are going to come forth if you don’t have a part to play, God will not be saying it to us, God is not a gossip, He doesn’t carry stories around, so if He is saying something to the church, it is because you and i have a role to play.
But for you to know the role you have to play, then the Word of God has to be your delight, for you to know where to stay, in the lineup, you need to hear from God, and how do we hear from God if we are not conversant with the Word of God.
I’m still going to read Psalm 119, picking a few verses, verse 16 says ” I will delight myself in thy statutes, I will not forget thy word” This is a commitment made by David, I’m sure we all know the story of David, we name our children after David, David is such an enigma that a lot of us wish we are David.
If you don’t know anything about David, we know that He killed Goliath, and we all want our Goliath to be killed right, so David is the one testifying here, He says I will delight myself in thy status, that is in the Word Of God.
