So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees,” (1 Kings 18: 42).
When Ahab went to eat and drink for the rain that was about to fall in Israel, Elijah went to pray. They both needed the rain, but whilst Ahab went to celebrate the miracle that was about to happen, Elijah went to pray for the miracle to happen. Ahab went to celebrate the supernatural breakthrough, but Elijah birthed it through prayers.
Ahab was waiting for it to happen, but Elijah made it happen in the place of prayer; Ahab waited to receive it, but Elijah drew it down through prayers. Ahab was waiting to consume the rain, but Elijah went into prayers to manufacture the rain. Ahab was a beneficiary of the rain that was about to fall, but Elijah was the creator.
Friend, God says, don’t wait for things to happen; make things happen. Don’t wait for miracles and divine intervention to happen when it will; make it happen through your prayers. Don’t wait for others to attract positive results; be the one to bring good results for others to enjoy. Don’t wait for others to bring change; be the one that will make change possible.
Be the one that will create what others will enjoy; bring ideas that will help others to succeed; make efforts that will open doors for others to step into; create the future that others will enjoy; create the next level that others will enjoy. Instead of being a beneficiary like Ahab, be a creator like Elijah.
Beneficiaries know what is available, creators know how it was made available; beneficiaries know it happened, but creators know how to make it happen. Beneficiaries are stranded when there is a problem, but creators are made more relevant as problems arise.
Pray With Me:
Lord, I am a creator; I will make things happen, in Jesus’ name!.
