And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain.” (1 Kings 18: 41).
In our Focal Scripture, Elijah told Ahab to start eating and drinking because there was a sound of abundance of rain. The rain was yet to fall, but Ahab was told to celebrate as if the rain had already come; he was told to celebrate like one whose expectations were already fulfilled.
The rain was in the future, but the famine was in the present. So, Ahab stopped living in his present and started living in his future. He didn’t act like where he was; he acted like where he was going to. He stopped living in the situation and started living in the promise.
Friend, God says, start celebrating the sound of abundance of rain. Start celebrating the miracles and breakthroughs that God is about to make happen; celebrate the new job, marriage, positions you are about to occupy, future, etc that God is about to make happen.
Those who are in the spirit bless God for the revealed future they have not seen; spiritual men celebrate God’s promises before they are fulfilled. Thank God even if the rain is yet to fall; live in the future and not in the present; live in the promise and not in the situation. Don’t act like where you are; act like where you are going to.
Start some prophetic celebrations; celebrate every promise of God that is yet to be fulfilled; celebrate every word that God has spoken to you; celebrate the future that you are about to step into; celebrate the answers to prayers you already made but are yet to see.
Ahab celebrated a miracle that was yet to happen, and the miracle happened. As you celebrate the miracles and future that God is about to make happen, God will honour your celebration and fulfill your expectations.
Pray With Me:
Lord, I will celebrate Your promises until they are fulfilled, in Jesus’ name!
