Living Your Life To The Praise Of God By Rev. Dr. P.J.A

Table of Contents

Ask yourself: “what is the best thing your life can offer God?” What is the best thing you can offer to God? There is nothing you can do with your life that is more pleasing to God than to praise Him.

Living your life to the praise of God is what is most important!

Jesus was led into the wilderness by the Spirit after He fasted 40 days and nights, so the fasting was knocking down the gates of hell, the devil knew Christ would not stop the fast for anything, hence the devil waited for Him to complete the fast, then he showed up to tempt Jesus as soon as He finished the fast,

The devil confronted Jesus with the most needed thing in His life at that point in time, what is it? Food

Be aware that when Satan wants to tempt you, his first area of appearance is to come through your most urgent need at that time,

So, if you are trusting God for marital settlement for example, be aware that Satan will bring you stone to turn to bread, and if you are so desperate to marry, you may start eating stone

When you do this, you know it will have a terrible result of indigestion on your stomach;

So watch out, the first temptation the devil will put to you, is in the area where you are under pressure, so now check: which area are you under pressure? Is it financial, marriage, career, school admission? Check if the devil is already offering you stones to turn to bread, in forms of fake admission, compromise to get jobs, etc.

I pray for you that in the name of Jesus Christ, you will be victorious

What was Jesus’ response to the devil’s temptation? Jesus said: “Man shall not live by bread alone”

You also must answer the devil when he brings stones for you to turn to bread, tell the devil your life can continue without these things. What is essential in your life, is the Word of God, and that you must follow, decline the devil just as Jesus declined.

For the second temptation, the devil took Jesus to a very great height, quoted Psalm 91, and asked Jesus to jump down, in order ways, the devil was telling Jesus to tempt God and see what will happen,

If Satan moves from the area of your most needed thing, and he did not succeed, he moves to the area called: “pride of life”, the devil kept saying to Jesus: “are you not the son of God” so that pride could get into Jesus and compel Him to do the wrong thing.

Ensure that you do not tempt God! Don’t ever do it! Don’t go ten stories and jump, to see what God will do, but if on any day you find yourself on ten stories and something happens and everyone is been thrown down, then you can remind God of His word in Psalm 91 which says: “I will give my angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways, they shall bear your hands up lest you dash your feet against a stone” if you do this, the angels will bear you up, but if you deliberately go on ten stories to test God, you may not survive it.

The devil will always tempt us to make a show or prove our authenticity as a pastor, prophet, evangelist, singer etc, ensure you don’t tempt God.

If you find yourself in an accident, scream out the name of Jesus, Psalm 91 assures that God’s angels will show up for you in times when you are in trouble

In Acts of Apostles, Paul had 72 people on board, the storm happened, but not just Paul was saved, the prisoners too were saved. That is an example of angels bearing people up in their hands

Also another example is the case of the 3 Hebrew boys, though they were thrown into the fiery furnace, the Lord appeared to them and they were unhurt.

Therefore, you must not tempt God, but when you are in a tough situation, call unto God for rescue and He will answer you speedily in Jesus mighty name.
