Jeremiah 29:11-13 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you”.
Do you desire a glorious future for yourself and your family? Are you often worried about what the future holds for you? Do you most times wonder if your future will be better or worse than your present? say these prayers for a glorious future and the Lord will surpass all your wonderful expectations in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
As believers, we have been given both power and authority to regulate not just the present happens in our lives but also the future events through fervent prayers. (Luke 10:19)
While God expect us to aim towards perfection in holiness and righteous living (Matthew 5:48) He also expect us to take charge of the course of our lives through prayers.
James 5:17 speaks extensively of prophet Elijah been a man of like passion, that is, a man like us, yet He could regulate the affairs of his territory through fervent prayers.
If God did not expect us to take control like Elijah the scripture would not have described the prophet as a man of like passion (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
Having said that Queen Esther is another Bible character that took charge of the happenings around her; she decided to change the evil decree made against her people (the jews) first through prayers and fasting (Esther 4:16).
Looking deeply into the case of Queen Esther, it is safe to conclude that she had built a lifestyle of fervent prayers and fasting to God even before she got to the palace, so when it was time to do that which should not be done (i.e going in to meet the king uninvited Estee 4:11), She knew there was only one way she could achieve her aim unharmed, which is calling upon God through fasting and prayers.
Also Daniel (Daniel 9:1-20) Peter (Acts 2:14-42), Jabez (1Chronicles 4:10) are other examples of people who changed the tides for themselves and their people through prayers
So are you worried that that negativity common in your family will also happen to you in the future? Are you afraid that your future will be largely influenced by the past negative decisions you made in ignorance? Do you fear that you may not end well in life in terms of career, academics, finances, health or even in your spiritual walk with God?
Rise up to your feet now and pray your way out of all future negativities, call forth a glorious future for yourself now (Job 22:28)
And as you pray this day, may the Lord by His unfailing mercy hear you and grant you a glorious future free from all forms of negativities in Jesus mighty name
