The topic I will be speaking on today is the purpose of promotion.
Are you aware that this is the season of your promotion? Do you know that the Lord has decided to uplift you in this season? Do not be like the man described in Psalm 49:20: “Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish”.
You must be aware that God has decided to promote and uplift you in this season.
I assure you that you have entered into the best season of your life, I know this because this year has been declared as our season of walking and basking in glory. This declaration is exactly what God wants to do in your life.
So who is the author of promotion? The Lord God is the author of promotion as the Bible says in Psalm 75:7a “But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another”.
God is the one who determines who gets promoted hence as He has declared that we are waking and basking in glory this year so shall it be in your life in Jesus name.
You may not have seen the evidence of your promotion yet but the Lord will cause you to rejoice soon in Jesus name.
Do you know that it is God who changes times and seasons not political leaders, or any other person. It is God who determines your new season so even in the midst of the economic hardship He has the power to uplift and promote you (Daniel 2:21)
Interestingly, God has a way of preparing you for what He has prepared for you, he won’t just bring you into the manifestation of your glory without preparing you for the new season.
You may be wondering how God has been preparing you, the seasons of life that God has taken you through, the pleasant and unpleasant experiences, yoir fastings and your prayers are all factors that are meant to get you prepared for your new level
However, in this new season you need the Word of God, as it is written in acts 20:32, “Now I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified”.
This year you must avoid distractions and focus on the things that matter!
Joshua 1:8 also emphasize on the importance of studying the Word of God, it says: ” This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success”.
Another important thing is that you must decide to remain in God when your promotion comes as it is written in Deuteronomy 8:18 “But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day”, (John 15:5).
Though divine promotion is desirable as it can bring about a change of status and bring in several other benefits, it can also lead to the end of one’s life if care is not taken.
An example of someone who was greatly helped by God but didn’t end well as a result of pride is King Uzziah, King Uzziah had tremendous success as he was indeed marvelously helped by God but after his greatness and wealth increased, his heart was lifted against God and this led to his undesirable end (2 Chronicles 26)
Another example is Nicholas, in Acts 6, Nicholas was one of the spirit filled men assigned to oversee some affairs in the temple so the Apostles can concentrate more on spiritual assignments, and though he was a devoted Christian, he soon slipped away from the path of righteousness.
Apostle Paul on the other hand is a good example of one who was helped by God and he kept growing in Christ despite his trials, tribulations, and despite his exploits in the kingdom, he never got to a stage where he became full of himself neither did he ever decide to walk against the way of Christ, rather he said in Acts 3:13-14
“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus”.
Most importantly, you must understand that God chose you for divine promotion so that you can draw men unto Him; the purpose of your new season is to win souls for Christ.
