“Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving” Col 4:2 (NKJV)

Brethren verse 2 of this chapter couldn’t have come at a better time than this season of our spiritual emphasis. Earnestly in prayers speaks of great effort. So we already know this task in our hands is not a walk in the park. But we thank God for the well stocked armoury that is already at our disposal (Ephesians 6:13-18)

By them we can wage a good warfare, besieging the throne of God to move the arm that moves the world. As christians, we may be hard pressed on every side, struck but not destroyed, there is therefore am urgency in the Spirit for us to be *sober*, and *vigilant* in this season as our adversary keeps prowling around like a roaring lion, seeking who he *may* devour. We must take advantage of the opportunity this fasting season affords us, to apply all the promises in His word, confessing and declaring what we want to see in our land.

Even in chains, Paul devoted himself to prayers ( Col1:9–11)not for himself, but for the saints. Brethren, we are not in chains, let nothing hinder us. The life of this nation depends on us. God is calling forth the Epaphrases in the house not to slumber but labour in prayer for soon and very soon, we shall see the travail of our souls and be satisfied in Jesus name
