Exodus Chapter 21
The Book of Exodus Chapter 21 is a continuation of the “Commandments”
This is regarded as “The Law Concerning Servants” but it also addresses to the principle of Equity & Justice.
“THE NEW SPIRIT WE ARE MADE OF_ GOING THE SECOND MILE

THE LAW served a Purpose as THE FOUNDATION OF ALL ETHICS, forming the basis of all public morality. Thank God for THE LAW.
According to Romans 3:20, “Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin”
We are blessed to be in the “Dispensation of Grace”
JESUS “UPGRADED”
Exodus 21: 23-25
“But if any HARM follows, then you shall give life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, wound for wound, stripe for stripe”
“GOING THE SECOND MILE”
Our Lord Jesus specifically “upgraded” Exodus provisions in Matthew 5:38-48
“You have heard that it was said, An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth, BUT I TELL YOU not to resist the evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also……..
Bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you and pray for those who spiteful use you and persecute you….”
Also in Luke 9:54-55, a village of Samaritans rejected the savior- WOW!
The instinct of Disciples James & John was to command fire from Heaven and consume them. But Jesus rebuked them thus:
“You do not know what manner of spirit you are of”
Jesus then categorically announced his Manifesto:
“FOR THE SON OF MAN DID NOT COME TO DESTROY MAN’S LIVES BUT TO SAVE THEM”
Praise the Lord.
REMINDERS OF THE BENEFITS OF FORGIVENESS
In the past few weeks, The Lord has been reminding us about the POWER OF FORGIVENESS with the following Benefits:
1. Offenders see the love of God
2. Answer to prayers/
Qualification for MERCY
3. Peace & Restration
4. Fruitfulness & Prosperity
5 .Divine Encounters & Spiritual Capacity
In view of these benefits and other good stuff in Romans 12: 14-21, we pray that God helps us to overcome EVIL with GOOD. Amen.

1. Father, we thank you for forgiving ALL our INIQUITIES and healing ALL our diseases
(Psalms 103:3)
2.Father help us to forgive those who have offended us.

3. Father help us to focus on SAVING lives & NOT in any way DESTROY LIVES In Jesus Name.
