John 1:4,9 Message Bible
“What came into existence was Life,
and the Life was Light to live by.
The Life-Light blazed out of the darkness;
the darkness couldn’t put it out.
The Life-Light was the real thing:
Every person entering Life
he brings into Light”
First, I found this interpretation of the Message bible quite interesting and it helped me to ponder more:
Referring to Christ as life for me, reiterates the fact that without Christ I am lifeless/nothing (Acts 17:28 in Him we live and move and have our being.)
Also, the last phrase “Every person entering life, He brings into Light” is a clear explanation of the work of Salvation and this brings back Collosians 1:13 “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness” to mind.
My Conclusion: With the life of Christ in me and His light surrounding me, darkness can’t survive around me.
