2nd Kings chapter 13 from verses 14 to 20
“Now Elisha was falling sick of the sickness whereof he died and Joash the king of Israel came down unto him, wept over him, and said: My father my father the chariot of Israel and the horsemen thereof.
In the next verse, Elisha said unto him take now bow and arrows and he took unto him bow and arrows, Put thy hand upon the bow and he put his hand upon it and Elisha laid his hands upon the king’s hands, and he said open the window eastward and he opened it. Then Elisha said shoot and he shot and he said Jehovah’s arrow of victory, Even the arrow of victory over Syria for thou shalt smite the Syrians, Till thou have consumed them, in verse number 18 and he said take the arrows and he took them and he said of the king of Israel; smite upon the ground and he smote thrice and stayed.
In verse number 19 the Bible says to us and the man of God was wroth with him. I said thou should have smitten five or six times then had thou smitten Syria till thou had consumed it, Whereas now thou hast smitten Syria but thrice, and Elisha died”
I want to encourage you to believe. One of the greatest problems we have in Christianity is that we are Christians, but most of the time, we don’t believe. Yes, whenever people talk to me, I know.
When you check what they are saying, you know, they don’t believe. Though Christians, they are not Christians.
Believe the Word of God. I want to teach you about supernatural programming.
Now, the Bible says Elisha was sick and about to die. The king of Israel noticed that Elisha was no longer coming to church, no longer going out, and probably was permanently lying down since he was sick. And then the king decided, “Let me visit him before he dies.” Oh, let me go and visit the man of God, at least get an impartation from him”, he thought.
The Bible says when he got to where Elisha was, he began to call Elisha the name Elisha called Elijah when double portion came. A River that forgets its source will dry up. So the king was invoking the source of grace that came on Elisha.
Whenever you get to the source of a problem, the problem is completely solved, that is the end of that problem. The Bible says: that the man began to call him: “my father, my father the chariot of Israel and the horsemen thereof” That was exactly the statement Elisha made that gave him a double portion. This king began to say it to stir up Elisha’s original grace.
Whenever you touch a man’s source you touch the real high tension of the grace he carries, the man began to invoke the grace of God upon Elisha, the thing came on Elisha so he said all right. I want to insure your tomorrow, I want to sort you out since you Invoke the grace of my source.
The source will sustain you because in this life, your source is your sustenance. Whenever you disconnect from your source you disconnect from your sustenance and you may soon die, You may dry up how the river that forgets its source dries up, that’s the truth.
The Bible says the man of God said: “all right get bows and arrows” And he quickly went and got some bows. Maybe he had it before I do not know or maybe he went to buy it, I don’t know.
He got bow and arrow quickly and brought it to the man of God and the man of God said: Open the window eastward to where your enemies are, the Syrians were towards the east not west not north not south, You must know the location of your enemy, because location determines your allocation and then from a location you can sort people out. if you’re in the wrong location, You may soon be a prey.
Elisha said open the window eastward because that’s the area your enemies are domiciled, that’s their residence.
He opened the window and the man of God said arrange the arrow here, the man of God stretched and laid it upon king’s hand, so he was to shoot the arrow then the man of God put his hand from the bed.
This means he was equal with the king, this is why I don’t look down on a man of God no matter what has happened to him The man could be crawling and still sort you out, the man of God could be hungry and still give you food, he could be poor and make you rich, Whether sick or not. It doesn’t matter if the man of God was lying down maybe trembling or even shaking, But when he touched the hand of the king the hand became a supernatural hand, and he commanded him shoot, he shot the arrow and the arrow went.
When the arrow moved toward the east, the man of God programmed it, the man of God said the arrow of God’s deliverance “The arrow of deliverance from Syria”
The arrow of the Lord was programmed the arrow of God’s deliverance from Syria. He shot the arrow into the wind and the arrow started moving as the arrow moved he programmed it and told the arrow you’re not just another arrow you are arrow of God’s deliverance. you are on a mission of deliverance from Syria for you will smite Syria in fact till you have consumed them.
So, you know what happened when the arrow moved? It entered Syria because it was programmed, It was not about the strength that they used to shoot it. It was about what they said.
As the arrow was entering Syria as it was going they said it will be in a place called Aphek, that is where the destruction took place, So the arrow moved, located and entered into the place called Aphek, it entered into the field and hit the ground
Now when people see the arrow they would think its another arrow not knowing that it was programmed.
The same way many things are programmed in the spirit realm negatively and that same way you can program things positively and you can program anything around your destiny. My been here today to preach this sermon is a form of spiritual programming for your good.
When I was in Reverend Joe’s house and I was running around here and he finally said it is time for you to go back to Lagos, he laid hands on me and that anointing took me to 12 nations.
It was divine programming that was taking place in my life.
Before that divine programming, I was a shoemaker, a bus conductor I was walking up and down in Lagos. But when Reverend Joe Olaiya laid hands on me, there was a reprogramming to my original destiny, so the original chapter of my destiny opened up, later my destiny was updated and upgraded to a global level.
Are you understanding me? Everybody you see doing anything on earth have been programmed. When you see somebody behaving like an idiot someone programmed him, you see someone behaving like a madman somebody programmed him.
You see somebody behaving like a great man. Somebody programmed him, everybody is programmed including you, You’re programmed, I don’t know how you are behaving if you have a poverty mentality, then it was programmed, if its prosperity mentality, it was programmed.
Everything you see anybody do on earth he or she have been programmed to do it.
Interestingly, many times God gives you opportunity to program yourself through prayers, that is why you need to pray, whenever you pray you’re programming yourself.
The more you pray the more you are programmed.
The Bible says to us Elisha said this arrow is not a normal arrow It’s the arrow of the Lord’s deliverance its the arrow of deliverance from Syria.
Then he added a statement that needed another action.
He said you will smite Syria not to shoot Syria
So since the arrow have gone for deliverance, the atmosphere is covered now. You know, so you will smite Syria in Aphek then he told him I’ll go and get another arrow.
God said smite the ground that was where the king made the mistake because he didn’t shoot the arrow many times, be aware that just one or two beating is not enough for the enemy.
The Bible said they told Neyman to go and bath seven times. Neyman first of all got angry but later obeyed the instruction.
So he went to bath. If he stopped the bath at the third or the fifth time he will never have been healed because the leprosy troubling him needed a seven-fold bath. The Kind of leprosy that afflicted him, if he didn’t bath in the river seven times The leprosy would not have gone.
So the man of God has seen that the layers of leprosy on his life needed the seven fold deep sea bath before his healing can take place.
Are you following me? Hope you know that David was anointed three times before he became a king.
Because there were deficits in his life when the power in the first anointing came upon him, though it was enough to make him a king but when they poured anointing oil on him, it entered into some deficits in his trans-generational deficits
So he couldn’t become a king, rather he became a local champion. The anointing given to him the second time upgraded him and he became governor of Judah Seven and a half year later, when he was anointed the third time that was when the oil was strong enough to make him a king.
