And Elisha the prophet called one of the children of the prophets, and said unto him, Gird up thy loins, and take this box of oil in thine hand, and go to Ramothgilead:” (2 Kings 9: 1).
In our Focal Scripture, Elisha sent one of the sons of the prophets to anoint a new king in Israel. The anointing of Kings was the exclusive preserve of Senior Prophets. This particular prophet was a junior Prophet, he wasn’t the most qualified but he was chosen; he didn’t have all he required, but it didn’t work against him.
Beloved, hear God’s word: you may not be the most qualified, but you will be chosen. You may not have all it takes to be at the top, but grace will make the difference for you. You may not be the best in the crowd, you may not have attained the heights that others have attained, you may not have the qualification and experience that others have, there may be people who should be considered ahead of you, but God’s grace will cause you to be chosen.
You will fulfill your God-given destiny despite the things you don’t have; you will rise to the peak through grace; you will excel in your vocation, profession, business, career, etc through grace. You may not be counted among those who should be ahead of others, but God will place you ahead of the crowd. What you don’t have will not stop what God wants to make happen for you.
You will no longer be disqualified because of the qualifications you don’t have; you will no longer be stopped because of your limitations; the limitations that men have placed on you will not stop God from taking you to where He wants you to be.
Romans 9 vs. 16 puts it this way: “So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.”
Pray With Me: Lord, I may not be qualified but I will be chosen, in Jesus’ name!
