Today, we study the Book of First Chronicles Chapter 19 where the Ammonites and Syrians were defeated

Background
King David in good faith sent a Message of condolence to Hanun, King of the Ammonites.
But out of FEAR, the “Message” was deemed a THREAT !
According to 1 Chronicles 19: 3, the Princes of the people of Hanun imagined that “the Servants of David came to OVERTHROW & to SPY”out the land”
FEAR precipitated a War between Israel on one side versus AMMON supported by SYRIA.
Of course, the Ammonites and Syrians were defeated by Israel.
REFLECTION NUMBER 1
“FEAR NOT”
The Root Cause of many crises in life is “F E A R”!
Sadly, FEAR mostly is SELF-GENERATED hence the acronym:
F E A R =
FALSE
EVIDENCE
APPEARING AS
REAL
FEAR brings torment and usually consumes thoughts and paralyses us from living FULLY.
FEAR manifests as Doubt and Insecurity
FEAR is the Opposite of FAITH.
Brethren, God has not given us a spirit of FEAR but of Power and of Love and Of a Sound Mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)
Hence, The Lord assures “FEAR NOT, for I am with you, Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with My Righteous right hand”(Isaiah 40:10)
What Assurance !
There are 365 x “FEAR NOT”s in the Bible = ONE “FEAR NOT” PER DAY
May The Spirit of Sound Mind equips us to discern TRUTH from lies. Amen.

“be Of Good Cheer”r”R”r”r”
Brethren, troubles are REAL!.
Indeed, “man that is born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble” (Job 14:1)
The Good News is that, Our Lord has promised that “In the World, you will have tribulation, but be of GOOD CHEER, I have overcome the world” (John 16:33)
Our Lord eminently qualifies to make such a declaration because He is The Sovereign LORD OF HOSTS (1 Sam. 1:3) & the King of Glory, who commands the armies of Heaven.
He has NEVER lost a battle!
Therefore, “In All these things, we are MORE THAN CONQUERORS through him that loved us” (Romans 8:37)
Our Victory is Certain!
