Thoughts on Daniel 1
“And the king appointed them a daily provision of the king’s meat, and of the wine which he drank: so nourishing them three years, that at the end thereof they might stand before the king”
(Daniel 1:5 KJV)
All the painstaking search for courtiers, the loaded resume highlighting proficiency in sciences, great education, skillful wisdom, impeccable manners, and the nourishing meal plan are all geared to one purpose- “that they might stand before the king”
To this they were called, and indeed at the end of days (3 years), each stood before the king to be questioned, it was either a pass or a fail, no middle lines. Thankfully, the 10 made it and were certified worthy of every investment that went into their training.
Child of God, have you considered lately, What is Christ blood worth to you?
To what have you been appointed? Are you faithfully walking in this?
One day each of us will stand before the King of kings, to give an account of every opportunity He afforded us to showcase the treasures of His presence in our lives by giving expressions to our gifts. Take a moment to ponder on how this will turn out for you?
Scriptures admonish; wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: for so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
2 Peter 1:10-11 KJV
We are confident that He that called us is faithful, and with Him, nothing is impossible. We can be due for a good certification at the end as we activate His instruction in Ephesians 6:13 KJV.
“Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand”
Thank you Father for all you have done, are doing and will yet do. None of us shall be ashamed at your coming in Jesus name. Amen 🙏
