Bible Commentary On Jeremiah 49

Table of Contents

Today, we study the Book of Jeremiah Chapter 49 where God judged nations that troubled Israel and attempted to inherit the Possessions of the people of God.

Reflection:

“Possessing Our Inheritance – Take it by Force”

Key Scripture

“I will cause to be heard an alarm of war in Rabbah of the Ammonites; it shall be a desolate mound, and her villages shall be burned with fire,

Then Israel shall take Possession of his inheritance.”

(Jeremiah 49: 2)

Almighty God as usual, intervened and judged AMMON (Jordan) EDOM (Esau) DAMASCUS (Syria) for confiscating the land that belongs to the People of God.

Even in contemporary times, many Possessions & Blessings that are the inheritance of the saints are being contended by other forces!

For sure, we MUST possess our Possessions!

Hallelujah !!

Might Is Not Always Right

Supremacy Of The “Gods” At Play

Brethren, Almighty God takes our issues PERSONALLY hence the need to challenge and discipline the deities involved in the affliction of His people: examples include “dagon” of the philistines and “milcom” of the ammonites

All other “gods” MUST box to Jehovah.

GOD IS MERCIFUL

The Faithfulness of God is always AWESOME!

God may discipline His people, His MERCY still endures forever – He always delivers from the Oppressor
