REFLECTIONS ON PSALMS 90

Today, we study the Book of Psalms Chapter Ninety – A prayer of Moses, the man of God who extolled the ETERNITY of God contrasted to the Frailty of Man.

THEME:

“God is Eternal, Man is Time-Bound”

Key Scripture:

Psalms 90:12

“So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom”

Reflection

“Investing Time Wisely

Brethren, TIME is a critical RESOURCE given by God to regulate human activities.

An average person lives to about 70 -120 years according to Psalms 90!

That is why Moses prayed to God to “teach us to number our days”

(Psalms 90:12)

Apostle Paul also cautioned that Believers be “very careful and live not as unwise but as wise, making the most of EVERY OPPORTUNITY”

(Ephesians 5:15-16)

Investing Time

Shall we consider certain strategies for investing TIME in this short span that the Lord has allocated to us because we shall give account!

1. Planning is important

(Proverbs 20:18)

2. Take Time to win souls

(Matthew 28:18-20)

3. Maximise Opportunities

(Ecclesiastes 9:11-12)

4. Work as unto the Lord

(Colossians 3:23-24)

5. Avoid Slothfulness

(Proverbs 6:10-11)

6. Invest in Others/ Show Love

( 1 John 3:17-18)

7. Spend Time in His Presence

( Psalms 16:11)

8. Timeliness

The Bible asserts that “To Everything there is a season, a TIME for every purpose under heaven”

(Ecclesiastes 3:1)

Therefore, the Best Use of Time is “PERFORMANCE “AT THE RIGHT TIME”

To Live Is Christ

Brethren, according to Philippians 1:21, the Apostle declared: “for to me, to live is Christ”

As long as we Live For Christ, we owe Him our Time.

Prayer

Father, help us to keep your commandments in my heart in order to prolong my life as well as to enjoy great divine peace & prosperity.

Help me Lord to spend my time wisely in fulfilling your will for my life in Jesus name

Grant me the grace to please you all my days in Jesus mighty name.

Amen.
