REFLECTIONS
1.Exodus 35:2
“THE LORD HAS COMMANDED”
Offerings were COMMANDED by The Lord, according to Exodus 35
Hence giving of offerings is an act of OBEDIENCE & WORSHIP.
In the first instance,”All the ABUNDANCE that we have prepared to build a House for God is from HIS hand and is all His own.
(1 Chronicles 29:16)
Indeed, The so called “Wealth” of the People of Israel in the Wilderness came from Egypt- Acquired by the Power of Jehovah from the
The Earth is The Lord’s (Psalms 24:1) and
He gave us The Power to get Wealth
(Deuteronomy 8:18)
It is therefore a Privilege to be the Custodians of Heaven’s Resources.
2. Exodus 35:5, 22
” Take from among you and OFFERING to the Lord, WHOEVER is of a WILLING HEART…”
Also in Psalms 110:3, the Bible says Your people shall be WILLING IN the day of your power
As we ponder of the Faithfulness & Power of God, may we be WILLING as His Poeple to worship & serve Him with our lives and Offerings.
Indeed if we have truly given our LIVES to God then it should NOT be difficult to give our offerings
(2 Corinthians 8:5)
3. Exodus 35:25-26
“WHAT IS IN YOUR HANDS?”
The Spirit of God takes interest in the diversity, type & form of our contributions to His Kingdom, therefore gives OPPORTUNITIES to us in diverse ways:
God indeed gives us opportunities, according to our measures of Faith
(Romans 12:3)
Exodus 35:25-26 recorded that “All The WOMEN who were gifted artisans spun yarn with their HANDS…….”
This implies that apart from MONEY Offerings are possible in other Forms, such as Skills.
Equally significant is that gender, profession, social status should not constitute limitations/ excuses to the worship of Jehovah_ There is ALWAYS SOMETHING to offer.
My dear friend, “THERE IS SOMETHING IN YOUR HANDS”!
Father, I pray that the eye of my Understanding is enlightened to the possibilities in my HANDS for the service of my Lord. Amen.
