Thoughts in Exodus 36
….Then all the craftsmen who were doing all the work of the sanctuary came, each from the work he was doing, and they spoke to Moses, saying, “The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work which the Lord commanded us to do.” for the material they had was sufficient for all the work to be done—indeed too much…
Exodus 36:4-5, above provides a food for thought for everyone whom God has called to serve.
Important ethics are highlighted which today are a rarity in the body of Christ, From the Pulpit to the pew, lessons bordering on Appropriation of God’s resources with integrity are needed.
God made enough provisions for what He commanded
However, it was the artisans who administered the resources that saw to it that Moses puts a stop to the freewill offerings which the people continued to bring. Because they were Spirit-filled, they resisted any urge to allocate God’s provision to their personal needs because they had more than enough, unlike the norm in our society today when any excess finds its way to private pockets. They truthfully rendered their account. It’s also instructive that Moses as a leader didn’t fall into the temptation of starting another project with the excess. He commanded the offerings to stop!
Ephesians 2:10 says…we are God’s workmanship created unto good works…….
It’s about time these good works become evident in our lives as believers. Our mantra must never be, if you can’t beat them, join them ….Our light must shine in the midst of the present darkness
