THOUGHTS ON GENESIS CHAPTER 14.

1. It is true that one with God is more than majority:

Look at what happened in this chapter, how 5 kings with their troops fought against 4 kings and their troops in order to win a battle but were defeated yet Abraham fought a battle with just 318 trained armed servants born in his own house against the same four kings and their troops and won the battle against them!

I believe that Abraham went into the battle field with the angels of God fighting for him! The angelic hosts made sure that all the losses were recovered including Lot! No life and no property was lost! It was a total recovery! Hallelujah!

That is how when we will look back at the end of this year, 2023, there shall be no loss of any life and no loss of any good thing in our lives in Jesus’Mighty Name! Amen!

2. God takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servants:

He demonstrated this through Melchizedek King of Salem who was the priest of the Most High God.

He came out to celebrate the victory with Abraham and blessed him by saying, “Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth. And blessed be the most high God who hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand.” And he gave him tithes of all.

3. Abraham was careful to give God all the glory:

He paid the tithes of all the booties of war to Melchizedek, priest of the Most High God.

4. Abraham did not allow anybody to share in God’s glory by attributing the doings of God in his life to himself:

He rejected the offer of the king of Sodom by saying, ” I have lifted up mine hand unto the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth, that I will not take from a shoe latchet, and that I will not take anything that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich.”

People of God, let us always be careful to return all the glory to God when He gives us victory in the battle of life! Thank You Jesus!
