Genesis 41:16
“And Joseph answered Pharaoh, it is not in me: GOD shall give Pharaoh an answer of Peace”
Joseph never bargained ever in his life as a beloved and sheltered son of a rich old man whose GOD is the El-Shaddai to be sold into slavery and then fall further into jail.
Yet we see in Joseph’s character, from the time he was with his brethren to the time he stood before Pharaoh, a person who has given himself up as a living sacrifice unto GOD.
Jeremiah says “ though HE slays me, yet will I trust HIM.
In every area we saw Joseph tested, his response shows clearly a person who is a living sacrifice.
His response to Pharaoh was the same – it is not in me. GOD shall give Pharaoh….
His life had just one purpose to honour GOD in good times and bad, and at the very opportunity he had to appear before Pharaoh, HE honored GOD first. Yes the gifts of interpreting was his, but HE acknowledged the giver and GOD did an outstanding thing.
He brought the whole world to a standstill to honour Joseph
The whole world, not just the family as he had dreamt, bowed to him who was a slave, a prisoner and a non indigene.
This is what the power of a living sacrifice can do. GOD takes you way way above your expectation and causes all things to work out for your good in HIS own good time.
Pharaoh couldn’t help but respond to GOD
Devil and all your enemies were put to shame.

When GOD gives you a dream, the enemy will try to attack, even using close family and friends but no matter what ordeal you might be made to pass through as long as you are faithful to the very end, just as HE did for Joseph, know that GOD is in full control and HE will come through for you in a way, greater and more glorious than you could ever have imagined.
