The City of Refuge were some reserved cities in Israel for kept for People who commits murder intentionally. The law of Israel says an ‘eye for an eye’ that is retributive law that means anyone that kills shall be killed also. However God made provisions for Levites to live in some cities. Six of this cities were declared City of refuge. If the person who committed murder get into one of the city before the family of the murdered gets to him. He will be saved.
