Walking And Basking In Glory By Pst. Ezima

Table of Contents

This is our year of Walking and Basking in glory, but we will be considering the topic: “The rain of the spirit”

Joel 2: 23- 25,28 says: “Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month. 24) And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil. 25) And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the Caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. 28) And I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions”

This scripture is speaking of abundance, abundance in every area, as the Lord said “And I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten” you shall experience abundance of every side in Jesus mighty name.

The years of your suffering, toiling, the years that some circumstances and situations have taken good out of your life, God will not only restore those things you have lost, He will also restore the years.

Restoring what has been eaten or lost is different from restoring the years, the years that were wasted, God said He’s restoring them, in the form where you will be swimming in glory, meanwhile, its not about the way you were, no, now God has lifted you and brought you to glory,
hence His promise to restore the wasted years

When He said He’s going to restore what the locust has eaten, it means He will restore all, for example: if you lost 1 million naira in 2020, 2021,2022, 2023, God will restore 4 million to you in 2024.

In V26, it says you shall eat in plenty and be satisfied and praise the name of the Lord your God that has dealt wondrously with you and my people shall never be ashamed. You may have passed through she before now, but the Lord says it is over!

V27 And you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel and that I am the Lord your God and none else, and my people shall never be ashamed.

What is God saying here? It means you will encounter Him and actually know the God you are serving, you will know Him by yourself not through the description of other people

This is a year of encounter where you will be able to boast that you know the God you are serving.

Speaking of first fruit, it is your first income for the year, if you have a business, your first profit is your first fruit and if you are a worker, your first salary is your first fruit, it is an act of sacrifice where you give all your first income

Interestingly, some gave more than first fruit to God in the bible, for example, God told Abraham to leave His place and start out on a journey to where He will show him

This means that as Abraham left that place, He was homeless yet heading to an unknown destination only known to God.

In this year of walking and basking in glory, your faith is required, has God made you a promise? Will He fulfill His promise? Yes definitely!

Abraham trusted God and chose to walk in the spirit ‘s leading and in faith. This year, you also must be ready to walk in Faith.
