RACAD Highlights John 14
Awesome promises and assurances from today’s reading. The world around us is indeed full of tales of woes, dread and terror to make us troubled but the very first verse in chapter 14 is a command.
God is all knowing, He knew what was ahead of him and that his successful arrest and crucifixion was going to devastate his disciples. So he gave them a promise- another advocate, the Holy Spirit who will be with them forever.
In the same vain today, the Holy Spirit in us helps our infirmities, comforts, guides, teaches us, above all *reminds* us of the promises of the Father so that our hearts will not be troubled.
So let’s be encouraged. We are not forsaken or abandoned. We have a Father. Whatever the devil buffets us with in this present season, as we fight the good fight of the Faith, we will indeed lay hold of all His promises in Jesus name.
